Dear Hunky Dorys,
I am writing to you today to inform you about the disappointment we experienced last week. My friend- Niamh Kemmy- and I, bought the packet of Sour Cream and Onion Hunky Dorys in our local SuperValu. On opening the bag, we discovered that most of the crisps were discoloured (see example). The crisps were inedible therefore were not of merchantable quality. We were extremely distraught and are both avoiding buying your products again. Under the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act 1980 we have the right to a refund, replacement or repair. I look forward to your response.

Am I a horrible person for saying that I would have eaten them?

Yes, any good Irish customer service letter has to reference the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act 1980. I fear its the only consumer law we will ever remember…

I think they will be happy “to repair”.
